I have a new DDCSV 2.1. I have some questions about abilities of the controller. You can find attached photo.
- When the during to working , I want to set spindle speed , feedrate and rapid override with potentiometers.
- Can I add USB keyboard at the v2.1 controller.
- Can I add an external button to stop the machine and make the machine goto machine zero origin?

What should be written in the file exekey2.nc so that the external button toggles the step mode (0.01-0.1-1-10) as the button num5 of the USB keyboard keys?

-Potentiometers, there is simply nowhere to connect. It is possible to make a potentiometer into the break of the spindle control line 10B. Or in general, to control the spindle speed with a potentiometer and connect only the M3 / M5 to the inverter
-USB keyboard is available in the latest firmware. It is connected through a hub, together with a flash drive.
-The external button can only stop the machine, probing, pause and zeroing all axes.
This is described in the instruction manual.
The PAUSE button can have 2 values - pause and zero all axes.
It is set by the parameter # 447.
In this case, you can solder the external PAUSE button to the button on the front panel.
The installation package in the accessory expands the function of the external button. Now there are 3 options. When the configuration is 2, the system will execute extkey1.nc when the external button 1 is pressed, and the system will execute exekey2.nc when the external button 2 is pressed. You can write these two files and install them into the controller. (Copy these two files to the install directory of the u disk, insert the u disk into the controller, and then power it on)

The next logical step in this direction is to create a file for reassigning the USB keypad buttons so that everyone can customize the keyboard according to their needs. For example, Keyboard.nc with contents of type #506 = #1016; #507 = #1025 and so on.
We will be able to produce specialized keyboards for DDCSV2.2 if this becomes possible.
Sorry , I don't understand 2 external button wired into the DDCSV I am confused about wired and parameter sets. I'm beginner at wired and basic electronic.
Can you explain how this would be wired (i need simple circuit sketch or photo) into the DDCSV to 2 button for execute extkey1.nc and exekey2.nc.
You mean button 1 solder to START button on the control panel. Button 2 solder to PAUSE button on the control panel ?

Summarize, I don't want to place out the mainboard (or membrane panel) from its position. In the future, i am offering that you may add a socket(sub-d) or terminal groups at anywhere on the back side of the controller. By this way, customs can create their panel design and easily add buttons.
