Having trouble driving a relay with DDCSV2.1

Hi,

Have done following connections(as per the manual),

Relay coil +    --------------------------->  +24Vdc
Relay coil-      --------------------------->  M3
DDCSV GND(IO GND) ---------------------------->  0Vdc(power supply ground)


When i start the spindle manually, relay does not trigger.
Have tried following relays:

24Vdc coil    21mA current
3-32 Vdc  SSR    XmA current


Any help will be highly appreciated.
