Hi Everyone

I just got my cnc running today DDCS 3.1 with 3.2 firmware, i am having trouble finding how to set the cutting area and understanding the homing control and soft limits.

Is there a how to video?

Hi Dean, i am having a few gremlins with the setup
Am i right with this.

My lead screw moves 5mm per revolution.

My steppers require 200 pulses per revolution.

so for 1mm movement we have 200/5 = 40

further i am confused with z axis

for machine cords do i set the limits with z touching the bed or with z in highest position.

Happy to help you but I think you will find the manual pretty clear.  Do you have the manual?

Hi Dean yes i do. I have very limited knowledge and it is not clear to me so your help appreciated. I made the machine but need to learn to use it.

i have the user guide stand alone ddcs v3.1

I notice i can set sero (2nd page press y x 2 time) this goes to zero, but this is not the same as home. I do not understand how to set home position.
I do not understand how to set the cutting area.

If you can point me to the page in the manual because i just do not see it.

Hi all, i was trying everything in G54, i didn't know to go to the machine tab to zero everything, then back to g54. So now i can understand where my router is on the table as it moves!

Next stop a trial
