Dear Israel. DDCS V3.1 is a motion controller, it generate signals to stepper/servo drivers, then drivers Amplify the signal to motors, then the motor knows how to work. Now you still need a driver. Nema 23 1.8 angle motor, you need a 2-4A, and 20-50VDC stepper driver. Good luck to you.
The configuration methods on A axis, just same as other axis. Signal is PUL + DIR ; the difference it that A is a Rotation axis.There are parameters in Para page about A axis, you can set. One point about it is that you should set the rotation direction properly in your toolpath software.
