Yes its great to have the forum back.
My view is that Facebook is good for quick answers to simple questions, and quick comments / requests. It is very hard to follow the threads.
This forum is the place for longer topics that can be discussed, examples posted, questions asked and and answers given.
It is much easier to search for a particular topic or keyword
