Former Chief faces felony counts accused of car collision insurance scam

Jeff Webb, who played with the Chiefs from 2006-2008, is facing multiple felony counts. He's accused of "orchestrating four staged collisions resulting in a total lo s exceeding $139,000," according to a reported that those collisions occurred   added that he was arrested on June 28  Ricardo Louis Jersey in Indio, Calif. Webb, 34, was then released on $120,000 bail. Those collisions, according to the department, resulted in "$70,000 in fraudulent claims and a total potential lo s of $139,000." Webb wasn't acting alone, as the department Ray-Ray Armstrong Jersey  says he worked with eight others, but he's accused of being the leader of the group and bringing in the majority of the money from the alleged scam.    Antonio Callaway Jersey  their investigation into Webb and his group found that they used privately owned and rental vehicles, bought insurance coverage for those vehicles, and proceeded to crash them into poles or curbs. None of the collisions led to major damage, yet Webb and his alleged accomplices always requested medical help, according to the release. The Riverside County district attorney's office will prosecute the  Sione Takitaki Jersey case. A court hearing is scheduled to proceed on Aug. 8, per  "California is ground zero for staged auto collisions," said Insurance Commi sioner Dave Jones, . "Organized crime rings are responsible for the majority of staged collisions, which are costly to insurers and consumers. The multi-agency Urban Grant Task Force is one of our most effective weapons in eradicating these crimes."   Webb played college ball at San Diego State before becoming the Chiefs' sixth-round pick  Duke Johnson Jersey in 2006. He hasn't played in the NFL since 2008 and recorded 36 catches for 382 yards and one touchdown in his brief career.
