Liebherr has commissioned its eighth ship-to-shore container crane to be sold to the Exolgan Container Terminal in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as part of the facility’s continuing expansion. With an outreach of 51.5m, a back reach of 14m and a 31.4m span, the latest addition to Exolgan Container Terminal’s fleet will be able to service vessels with up to 20 rows of containers. It has a safe working load of 62.5t, using a twin-lift spreader, and can lift up to 40m over the rail. Exolgan Container Terminal currently handles a third of all containers into and out of Argentina and has already extended its berth by 360m to allow the servicing of two Post-Panamax vessels simultaneously.
