I could not get probing to work so I installed 2019-01-22-106 but still not working.
My sensor is definitely pulling the probe input low when triggered.

I have enabled the probe in #68 with all options 1 2 and 3 but have no documentation to tell me what they are.
My code includes

G04P0;
M101
G91G01Z-100F10
M102
G04P0;
M103
G91 G0Z100F5
M102
G04P0;
but the Z -100 move does not stop when the probe is triggered.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Richard

Hi!

Try to connect +12V-I to probe input when touching, not GND. This works for me!. (I tried out using a 1k Pullup for probe, inverting the input signal by the configuration but had no luck - which may be due to another error I had (my fault) - after detecting this error I did not try the pull up version  anymore because I implemented the "normal" solution in between  (also, since my spindle axis has no conducting connection to ground because of ceramic bearings...)

Josef,
It sounds as if you have a V1.1 unit with Positive switching. I have a V2.1. I can understand that you would have had problems with the "touch tool to ground" type probes, the pull=up would have fixed it. I assume you now have a seperate unit with an internal switch. I am just touching probe input to ground to trigger with no response.

I have now discovered that Mode 3 runs defprobe.nc however that software does not react to the probe input terminal going low on this controller.
I have no idea what modes 1 and 2 do does anyone know?

Thanks for that, interesting to see some documentation at last. However unfortunately it is of no help. The V2.1 controller I am running does not appear to respond to the probe input going low. I am somewhat p**d off.
Thanks again
Richard

When creating that manual I was more concerned about the software side of things.

What value have you set #70 to?
What is your probe connected to (+12, ground or Probe)
What is your sensor plate connected to(+12 , ground or Probe)
Your sensor plate IS insulated from the machine table?

I can't think why they would change the probe interface on V2.1

Hi, Thanks for your interest.
#70 Low, Probe connect to Probe terminal, Sensor plate connected to GND-I, the unit is not even on a machine, bench testing by touching probe to plate and the negative Z move (after M101) does not stop. Checked other inputs typically all limits, and they work. Looks like the interrupt is not enabled for the probe input<G>.
The unit is being returned for a full refund and I do not want to see another one. Apart from this problem the support is less than minimal. I am going back to my LinuxCNC system even though it takes up more space than I really want.
Good Luck.
