Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking a lot about how modern online games have moved toward simple yet highly engaging mechanics. I used to play games with deep, complex systems, but lately, I’ve been drawn to those that are easy to pick up but hard to master. I recently tried a game with just one main action—deciding when to cash out—and I was completely hooked. The simplicity made it super fun, but at the same time, it felt strategic. Why do you think minimalist game mechanics are so popular now? Are they more engaging, or do they get boring faster compared to more complex games? |
