Hello,
im just setting things up on my machine, using 2.1 and latest fw and have a fixed tool probe like this:

So my question is, since this probe has travel and protection also, can the mode1 be modified so it will first do probing with higher feed, souch as 800mm/min to find the probe and then repeats the probing on slower feed to increase accuracy?

I would highly appriciate if the probing cycle would first move the Z @G00 to the highest point of the machine (in my case to Z0 in MACH without tool offset), then moved over to the fixed point refered as parameters 72,73. After executed, move Z to parameter 74 and then start searching for tool setter @ defined speed such as F400-1600. After finding tool setter, pull up Z to untrigger setter and fine probe @F100.

Since a lot of users use "hard" probes, this should probably get a new mode?

Possible?
