Title: Parameters [Print This Page] Author: fbru Time: 2020-5-14 12:32 Title: Parameters I am in the process of converting my Grizzly G0705 to CNC. I am using a 2.5:1 gear drive on Nema 23 motors. I have calculated the steps per mm as 314.9. I have input that figure into "pulse equivalent of X axis. When I try to test movement, the distance traveled is only about 1/10th the distance it should travel. (314.9 programmed to steps per mm only moves carriage about 10 mm) When I try to increase the number above 200 steps per mm, the motors dont move but just vibrate and hum. The DRO says it moved 100mm, but nothing moves The machine has a 1" lead screw with 10tpi. Hand wheel moves carriage .1 inch per revolution. I know that I must be missing something in the parameters. Any help I can get would be appreciated.
