Can I use Nema17 (12-24V recommended) with 36V?

Is there any problem if I use 36V power source with DQ542MA (with correct current limit) and Nema 17?
The motor's webpage says: 12-24VDC (Recommended).

Is there any reason why 36V would not be Ok?

I have read that the maximum voltage depends on inductance L [mH]:
Vmax = 32 * sqrt(L)​
So, in this case the maximum voltage would be 53V.

Those motors seem kind of small.  What is the cnc rig that you are driving?   I am using NEMA 23 on a cnc wood router that moves a Rotozip power head.  They are only slightly overkill, (i think they were 600 oz/in torque) but going oversized means less likely to miss steps when the machine hits an intermittent & heavy load.

I think your OK with the voltage otherwise.
