Aluminum structural castings are durable, extremely corrosion-resistant, and relatively lightweight. They are therefore ideal for use on heavy construction vehicles and are pressure tested up to 2000 kPa or 290 psi.
The strength and toughness of the castings means they enable articulated trucks to withstand extreme loads. Three-axle articulated trucks are often required to haul heavy loads, and the lightweight nature of the castings ensures the trucks remain maneuverable and fuel efficient.

We also regularly produce aluminum castings for light construction equipment, where these qualities play an even more important role. This equipment must be strong enough to get the job done, yet lightweight enough to be carried and used for extended periods of time. There is no material better suited for this task than aluminum.
Many of our aluminum castings are used in trench compactors, also known as compactor compactors or vibratory compactors. These machines have a vibrating floor and are used to create level grades, or to compact backfill in narrow trenches used for water and gas pipelines. This is accomplished by driving the baseplate up and down at high speed and with great force. Trench rammers must be powerful enough to compact a range of materials, including soil, sand, concrete and asphalt. However, they cannot be too heavy since they are manually operated.
Therefore, our aluminum castings are ideal for use in areas subject to the greatest forces. Despite their lightweight nature, they are able to withstand stress.
Whether for light equipment or articulated trucks, our rigorous standards ensure construction workers can enjoy years of efficient and reliable use.
