Title: Writing a M6 toolchange macro [Print This Page] Author: Androcles Time: 2018-9-24 23:50 Title: Writing a M6 toolchange macro Hello
I have been trying to write a new T.nc file to make toolchanges easier for me.
The functionality I want is as follows:
1: Probing on the workpeice with normal probe function (2nd --> -A --> -A) to find the Z0
2: Then cutting with Tool no. 1 can begin.
3: When M6T02 is called in the G-code - the contents of T.nc is called and executed
4: The spindle should then move to a fixed location in the machine coordinate system where my fixed toolsensor is located.
5: It then measures the current tool (T01) once and then retracts a certain amount.
6: Tool T02 is then inserted manually into spindle.
7: Spindle moves down to probe the new tool (T02) ! Question here: Can the height offsets in the controller be used to calculate the new probing height?
8: Spindle retracts
9: Spindle turns on - Wait 5s
10: Continue reading G-code
Is this possible or is there a better way of doing it?
I am having a tough time doing this on the DDCS. I have programmed it in Mach4 and Lua without a problem but just can't figure it out on the DDCS.
Best regards
