Title: Controller suddenly stops responding to manual axis inputs [Print This Page] Author: bluah Time: 2018-4-5 23:02 Title: Controller suddenly stops responding to manual axis inputs Do you know why an axis suddenly becomes unresponsive to inputs (with buttons or MPG) while moving it?
Very frequently, as I jog an axis, it would stop responding to inputs. If I switch to another axis, they will still work, until they, too, suddenly become unresponsive to inputs after moving it around for a while.
The issue is with the controller and not my drivers, as the DRO stops updating too. Pressing reset/e-stop (and or cutting power and restarting) will have it work again.

Looks like trouble with some (may be not existing) end switches. Du you enable them in the settings without installing them? May be some noice is inducted into the switch cables. Use shilded and terminate them correctly.Author: JPoepsel Time: 2018-4-6 14:23

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I checked and do not have hard (or soft) limits enabled or installed.
