The knowledge gained from this experience will be utilized in the process of localizing World of Warcraft for China. We also have received an incessant stream of responses from Chinese gaming community about World of Warcraft, and we will take that feedback into account when we localize the game. In addition the company we work with in China will continue to work closely along with our development staff in order to help us tailor this game in order to accommodate the demands of Chinese players.
What testing requirements are necessary to help prepare World of Warcraft for the Asian market?
Like we're currently working on with North America and Korea, we are going to be testing the localized version of World of Warcraft in China before releasing the game in China. The multiple beta tests conducted by this method will give us ample chance to refine the game prior to its official launch in China. In addition, with China The 9 Interactive we will be testing an abridged Chinese version of World of Warcraft using localtest servers in-house to make sure the quality of localization matches our requirements as well as theirs prior to buy WoTLK Classic Gold beginning the beta-testing process.
