Title: Software updates [Print This Page] Author: gjh Time: 2019-4-18 09:09 Title: Software updates The stated procedure for updating is to have the USB key plugged in before power-up. This doesn't work - at least, not for me. What I have to do is power-up and then quickly insert the USB key. Is this a known problem?Author: ytliu Time: 2019-4-21 06:38
Thank you for your feedback, the questions you mentioned, I have not encountered before.Author: Lindo Time: 2019-4-23 17:29
Hello ytliu.
I am experiencing some similar problems.
I will try and be a brief and accurate.
Power up, Main screen no problem.
Parameter screen no problem.
File page when entered udisk-sda [DIR]
udisk-sda1[DIR]
mnt [DIR]
linuxrc 98572 bytes.
It makes no difference what ever keystrokes i enter I keep going in a loop with ... [DIR]
Richard sent me the factory instal which I uploaded.
Reset all my parameter variables and currently the machine will work and cut metal.
When I insert a Format 32 USB stick (cleaned) and only the nc file copied onto it, I get the following.
firstly I have to insert the stick after power up, if not it wipes all my parameter settings back to "factory" settings.
So the stick is inserted after powering up.
press the page R and the ... [dir] plus the nc file.
When I enter into the [dir]
I see the following udisk-sda [DIR]
udisk-sda1[DIR]
mnt [DiR]
When select mnt [DIR] next is nand2 and nand1
finally the uservar, settings , probe etc are listed.
But the uservar and settings are dated back to 1970, although I entered new parameter setting last week.
It seems as though either files are corrupt or duplicated.
I have not entered in copy and paste delete ins etc. as I am not that conversant with the file management.
I repeat i can use the controller and cut metal, but i need to be able to download the cutting uservar and
settings as introducing all the parameters each time inconsistent file operations is a time consuming job.
Sorry to be so long in explanation, just trying to be a precise as possible.
Hope you can help me.
Thanks
John

When the power is turned on, the system will automatically copy all the files in the u disk install directory to the /mnt/nand1-1 directory, so if there is a setting file in the install directory of the u disk, it will overwrite your previous settings.
In addition, since there is no real-time clock module in the DDSC, the system date is reset to 1970 after each boot, so after the file copy is completed, their dates are all 1970.Author: ytliu Time: 2019-4-23 20:19
If you have multiple configuration options to manage, you can create set files, such as plan1.set, plan2.set,..., you can define different parameters in these files.
For example, the contents of plan1.set are as follows:
&&
#50=150
&&
The content of plan2.set is as follows:
&&
#50=100
&&
You can edit and generate your set files at http://config.pandora-cnc.eu/.
How to use the set file: Go to the file page, move the cursor to the set file you need, such as plan1.set, and then press Enter. At this time, RESET will flash, then press PAGE-R to enter the parameter page. Will see #50 has become 150.
